Ich habe mich mal ein wenig in die Erweiterung reingeschnuppert und die neue Mechanik mit den Piraten sind wirklich eine Bereicherung für jedes Spiel, aber für die Vaulters schon wirklich eine wichtiger Bestandteil! Wie im Video angesprochen, kann man durch ein neues Schiffsmodul natürlich versuchen Piratenschiffe zu kapern aber gibt es noch andere Möglichkeiten. Lass dich überraschen oder aber Spoiler Alarm! :-!

Ohnehin lohnt es sich die Piraten zu bestechen, damit sie den Spieler und die eigenen Kolonien in Ruhe lassen. Doch die Vaulters können die Piratenbasen nutzen und sie für Weltraumsprünge verwenden, wenn das Verhältnis gut genug geschmiert wurde! Das bedeutet, dass wenn man einmal eine Position einer Piratenbasis kennt, ist sie nur einen Sprung von zuhause entfernt. Entgegen den anderen Fraktionen kann ein Vaulter also gezielt Piratenbasen suchen, um noch mobiler zu werden.
Wer genug Dust erwirtschaftet, kann ja die Piraten anheuern, sodass ein bestimmtes System für 10 Runden angreifen und ausrauben. Die Hälfte der Beute geht an den Spieler der diesen Kaperbrief ausgeschrieben hat. Ausgeschriebene Kaperbriefe kann man auch zurückkaufen, sodass die Piraten ein bestimmtes System (etwa eines Allianzpartners) in Ruhe lassen. Ein solcher Allianzpartner könnte ja ein Lumeris sein, der einem auch noch Kolonien verkaufen möchte...
Eine gute Verbesserung ist auch eine Revision der Ressourcennutzung für die Kolonien. Verwendet man die Anfangsressourcen für das Kolonie-Upgrade erhält man nun einen fixen Bonus für die Kolonie (z.B.: +60Dust, +60 Nahrung etc.) anstatt einen Bonus auf jede Bevölkerungseinheit, finde ich persönlich zu Beginn einer Partie besser. Spätere Kolonie-Upgrades mit Startressourcen sind etwas teurer und so kann es je nach Partie eher zu einer Ressourcen-Knappheit kommen. ;)

Fixed the competitor slots in the new game screen reverting back to Sophons after playing a game with the Vaulters
War instances are no longer destroyed more than once when forming multiple alliances simultaneously

The colonization cutscene now plays each time the Argosy colonizes a system

Fixed pre-emptive strike issue with limitation of Manpower authorized in ground battle (was not functioning previously)
Ship without at least one weapon or siege module will now be unable to siege a system
Added special informative section to energy squadron module description
Projectile and kinetic enhancer will now have the right effect on large weapon
Fixed two overlapping techs in the case of a custom Vodyani/Vaulters faction
Made sure all Diplomatic Requests terms had at least a 1 turn cooldown

Und wieder ein neues Update, jetzt auf Version 1.2.11.

Benannt ist es Guardians & the Galaxy und es bringt ein paar Fehlerbehebungen sowie eine Verbesserung der Performance beim laden von Spielständen. Außerdem gibt es die Goodies aus der "Make War Not Love 5"-Aktion. ;-)
